Yellow Cat Gallery is pleased to announce Errands, a group exhibition curated by Zak Vreeland, on view at Gallery OneTwentyEight from May 22 through June 8, 2025. This exhibition explores the mundane yet relentless tasks that structure daily life — errands, chores, and the necessary shopping trips that keep the world running, one to-do list at a time.

Rather than treating these activities as mere background noise, Errands brings them into focus. The works in the show lean into the aesthetics of obligation, repetition, and the everyday. They speak to the quiet rituals of domestic upkeep and the anonymous heroics of getting things done. From depictions of grocery bags and receipts to conceptual takes on time management and routine, the exhibition highlights how the ordinary can become symbolic, absurd, or even sacred when viewed through an artistic lens.

Curated by artist and writer Zak Vreeland, the show gathers a diverse group of artists whose practices reflect the textures of real life — the overlooked patterns of labor, both invisible and visible, that tie us to one another. As a curatorial gesture, Errands invites viewers to consider the art of maintenance not as an interruption to life, but as life itself.

The show is open at Gallery Onetwentyeight, Lower East Side.
